Abha hat eines der kühlsten und feuchtesten Klimazonen in Saudi-Arabien, wobei die Sommertemperaturen selten über 30 °C liegen. Es ist ein beliebtes inländisches Touristenziel, bekannt für seine Berglandschaft, den nahegelegenen Asir-Nationalpark und die Seilbahn nach Jabal Sawda.
