Asir Province (Arabic: منطقة عسير) is a region in the south-west of Saudi Arabia, bordering Yemen. Its capital is Abha.
Geography
The province is dominated by the Sarawat Mountains, which rise to over 3,000 metres at Jabal Sawda, the highest point in the country. The highlands receive the highest rainfall in Saudi Arabia and support terraced agriculture.
