麦地那是伊斯兰教第二圣城，先知迁徙之城，也是清真寺所在地。
概述
麦地那（阿拉伯语：????????，“光明之城”）是伊斯兰教第二圣城。它是先知穆罕默德的埋葬地，也是先知清真寺 (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) 的所在地。
历史
麦地那，当时称为 Yathrib，是公元 622 年先知穆罕默德从麦加迁徙（Hijra）的目的地，这一事件标志着伊斯兰历的开始。它成为早期穆斯林国家的首都。
地标
纳巴维清真寺 (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) 是世界上最大的清真寺之一，内有先知的坟墓。该市还拥有伊斯兰教第一座清真寺库巴清真寺和朝拜清真寺。
