When was Saudi Arabia founded?
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was proclaimed on 23 September 1932 by King Abdulaziz ibn Saud, who had unified the regions of the Arabian Peninsula over the preceding three decades.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was formally proclaimed on 23 September 1932, when a royal decree renamed the realm that Abdulaziz ibn Saud had assembled through a series of campaigns beginning with the recapture of Riyadh in 1902.
The path to unification
Ibn Saud took Al-Ahsa in 1913, defeated the Rashidi emirate at Hail in 1921, and conquered the Hejaz, including Makkah and Madinah, in 1924–25. By 1932 he controlled most of the Arabian Peninsula.
National Day
The date is celebrated annually as Saudi National Day and is the central event in the country's national history.
