Al-Kharj (Arabic: الخرج) is a city in the centre of Saudi Arabia, about 80 kilometres south of Riyadh, in Riyadh Province.
History and economy
Al-Kharj is an agricultural oasis with extensive date palm groves and dairy farming. It was the site of the Battle of Kharj in 1902, an early engagement in Ibn Saud's unification of the Kingdom.
