The King Fahd Fountain in Jeddah is one of the tallest fountains in the world, projecting seawater from the Red Sea to a height of over 300 metres.
Design
The fountain uses the sea itself as its water source and is illuminated at night, making it a prominent feature of the Jeddah corniche and a landmark of the city.
Location
It stands on the Red Sea coast of Jeddah, near the corniche, and is visible from much of the waterfront.
Significance
The fountain is one of the best-known modern landmarks of Jeddah and a symbol of the city's relationship with the sea.
