ヘグラ (マダイン サリフ)
マダイン サリフとしても知られるヘグラは、ペトラ南にあるナバテア人の最大の集落であり、サウジアラビア初のユネスコ世界遺産です。
概要
ヘグラ (アラビア語: الحِجر) は、マダイン サリフとしても知られ、サウジアラビア北西部のアル ウラー地域にある遺跡です。ここはペトラ以南で最大のナバテア人の集落であり、2008 年に王国で最初にユネスコの世界遺産リストに登録されました。
ナバテア人
ヘグラは、紀元前 2 世紀から西暦 2 世紀にかけて栄えたナバテア王国の主要都市でした。この遺跡には、砂岩の露出部に掘られた記念碑的な墓が 100 基以上あり、その多くには精巧なファサードや碑文が刻まれています。
重要性
この場所はナバテア文明の重要な記念碑であり、アル・ウラ・プロジェクトの一環としてビジョン2030に基づいて開発された文化観光の主要な目的地です。
