Research
She has worked on magnetic nanoparticle-based diagnostic platforms designed to be used outside laboratories, with the aim of making medical testing accessible in remote and low-resource settings.
Recognition
She was the first woman from the Gulf to obtain a doctorate in biotechnology from the University of Cambridge and has been recognised internationally for her work, including as a UNESCO goodwill ambassador. She has founded organisations to promote science and entrepreneurship in the region.
