The short version

Saudia.wiki is an encyclopedia. There is no advertising network, no third-party tracking script, and no sale of personal data. Reading the site does not require an account.

What is collected when you read

The server records the requests it receives in an access log: the page address, the time, the browser's user-agent string, and the referring page. This log exists to diagnose faults, measure which pages are used, and detect abuse. It is retained for a limited period and then discarded.

Search terms

Terms typed into the site search are recorded in aggregate so editors can see which topics readers are looking for and do not yet have. Search terms are stored without an account identifier.

Cookies

The public site sets no cookies for readers. A session cookie is set only when an editor signs in to the administration area; it holds a session identifier and nothing else, and it is required for that sign-in to work.

Accounts

Editorial accounts are created by the editorial team, not by self-registration. Account records hold a display name, an email address, and a securely hashed password. Passwords are never stored in readable form.

Third parties

Content is served from this domain. Where a page links to an external service, following that link takes you to a site governed by its own privacy policy. Embedded third-party media is not used.

Your requests

To ask what is held about you, or to have it removed, write to the editorial address on the contact page. Requests relating to an editorial account are actioned by the site administrator.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date of last verification on this page changes with it.
